Based in Australia, Lisa Murray is the founder of Creativity Lab and a business mentor and writer. In this episode, she shares tips on how to bring fun and joy into your business, as well as her experiences with Access Consciousness.
Lisa originally started Creativity Lab because she was interested in how people had ideas, but didn’t create them. She was brought up being taught to create things. “Most people don’t have a way of moving forward with their creations”
She recommends that people ask themselves which of your ideas can move you forward today, which will create the greatest difference in the world.
Lisa also notes you can ask which will create the most money with ease, and focus on that one. When she first started doing this, she had her best financial month ever.
She had a severe burnout 8 years ago, as well as recently. During these times, she had to learn to stop working as much and find something she enjoyed doing, which she now calls “blissipline.”
Most people don’t know what’s fun for them, including Lisa when she left the corporate world. “Where we actually create very dynamically, is when we have space. It’s not about the time to create, it’s the space.”
If you’re heading towards a burnout, the sooner you give yourself the space to do nothing, the better your life is going to be.
Access Consciousness was one of the tools that Lisa used to get out of her burnout. She says it takes you out of that space of overthinking, and into that space of being.“It truly did change my life in so many ways”
With Access Consciousness, asking a question will bring up the energy. Then she runs what she calls the “Access Consciousness Clearing Statement” to clear this energy (see “INTERVIEW LINKS”).
Your body will give you the answers and signals you’re looking for. “You’ve got to be really willing to connect with your body”
She says that acknowledging nature and the planet also allows for more space in our world to create.
Lisa believes that we’re all on a journey towards being who we truly are. “Have the space to just truly BE in this world, rather than always being in the future or past”
She has always seen business as a form of creating, and not having a certain set of rules you have to conform to.
When Lisa wakes up, she runs a few clearings to give her space, which allows her business to communicate with her. “When you talk to your business, it will give you information”
In the next 50 to 100 years, Lisa says that business models will change so that people will go back to doing what they love. “We get so drawn into the rules and the expectations of what business is, that we forget to ask what we’d like it to be”
She has a free upcoming workshop, with a week of emails for its participants (see “INTERVIEW LINKS”).
Lisa has three books: “Stop Waiting and Start Creating”, “Conscious Creating” and “Transforming Into Brilliance.”
